Folk School Classes at the Ozark Folk Center State Park

The Ozark Folk Center State Park will hold a variety of classes in crafts and herbs during Ozark Folk School Summertime Session, August 1-5, 2015. Classes are being offered in Fermented Food; Soapmaking; Spinning & Weaving; Pottery; Preserving Herbs; Clay Sculpture; Herbal Infusions; Letterpress Printing and more.

Classes begin with an optional social evening on Friday, July 30. Some two-day classes will be Saturday and Sunday. Week-long classes will conclude on Wednesday. The Cabins at Dry Creek offer special rates on rooms for Ozark folk School Students staying five days.

“Part of our mission at the park is to teach these crafts and perpetuate the tradition of quality Ozark craftsmanship,” said Jeanette Larson, Craft Director at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. “Our classes offer everyone a chance to learn these crafts hands-on, from a skilled crafts person and teacher.”
