Freedom of Choice for Health Care to be Submitted to AG Dustin McDaniel

(Little Rock – March 22, 2010)  Secure Arkansas , a grassroots organization, resubmitted an initiated act regarding “Freedom of Choice for Health Care” to the Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel for language review and approval on March 19, 2010. The amendment prevents laws or rules that compel a person or employer to participate in a health care system.

“Once this measure is approved by the Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, which we fully expect to happen soon, our volunteers will immediately begin the process of collecting the necessary signatures,”said Jeannie Burlsworth, Chair of Secure Arkansas.

Additionally, Secure Arkansas calls on the Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel to use any legal means necessary to prevent the Federal Government from unconstitutionally requiring Arkansans to purchase health insurance.  If the Attorney General Dustin McDaniel fails to take immediate action, Secure Arkansas is prepared to join with other states in filing suit to prevent this unconstitutional law from being implemented by bureaucrats in Washington D.C.
