Gilbert Baker Outlines Details of His “No Bailouts Bus Tour”

Conway, Ark., — United States Senate Candidate Gilbert Baker outlined details of his Baker for U.S. Senate “No Bailouts Bus Tour” scheduled for Apr. 28, 2010 – Apr. 30, 2010.  The tour will highlight his campaign message that big government bailouts are wrong and he opposes any and all bailouts.

“I look forward to traveling the state and letting the people know that bailouts are bad and it’s time to repair the broken Washington system.” Baker said.  “Washington has not been listening, but I will hear the people loud and clear this week.”

Baker will collect signatures on his trademark blue tarp to reflect the opposition to the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) bank bailout.

“My opponent, John Boozman doesn’t shy away from the fact that he voted for the big bank TARP bailout,” Baker said.  “I’m calling on him to join me in promising not to support a bailout in the future.”
