Gov. Hutchinson Brings 56th Annual Meeting of Southern States Energy Board to NWA; Will Deliver Keynote Monday

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson, as chairman of the Southern States Energy Board (SSEB), will deliver the keynote address at the SSEB’s 56th Annual Meeting on Monday morning in Rogers, Arkansas. Attendees will include representatives from sixteen southern states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This is the first time Northwest Arkansas has hosted the conference.

The theme of this year’s 2016 annual meeting is “The Role of States in Navigating America’s Energy Economy.” Governor Hutchinson chose this topic because of recent and dramatic changes to the nation’s energy supplies and the key role states play in shaping the direction of America. This theme will be reflected in the Governor’s keynote Monday morning. In addition, Governor Hutchinson will deliver the opening and closing remarks of the conference.
