Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces Intent to Grant Executive Clemency

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson announced his intent to grant nine pardons. An additional 46 clemency requests were denied and five had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.

The applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.

Governor Hutchinson intends to grant pardons to the following people:

David F. Bailey (Eureka Springs): Burglary (B Felony), Theft of Property (B Felony), and Theft by Receiving (C Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1991 – White County; 1993 – Cleburne County; 1993 – White County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Janet Brezler (Batesville): Possession of Methamphetamine (C Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (C Felony), and Possession of Marijuana (A Misdemeanor).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2003 – Independence County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Michael Gamble (Hackett): Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor), Breaking or Entering (D Felony), and Attempted Residential Burglary (C Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1998 – Sebastian County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Michael D. Ganus (Steele, MO): Theft by Receiving (C Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1994 – Mississippi County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Michael Lambert (Amity, AR): Possession of Marijuana over 1 ounce (Felony).

This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1972 – Clark County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Yashika M. Morris (Pine Bluff): Theft of Property (A Misdemeanor), Fail to Appear for Plea (A Misdemeanor), and Failure to Comply with Court.

This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (2001, 2002 and 2003 – Jefferson County), the fact that all terms of the applicant’s sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.

Stewart R. Sears (Cave Springs): Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver (C Felony).
