Griffin: Dub Myers ‘Devoted His Life’ to Leadership, Service

LITTLE ROCK – Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after hearing the news of Brigadier General Oliver “Dub” Myers’ passing:

 “I am deeply saddened to learn of Dub Myers’ passing.  He devoted his life to leading and helping Arkansas’s servicemembers and their families.  His legacy as Commander of the 39th Brigade – The Arkansas Brigade – and support for Little Rock Air Force Base will not be forgotten.  My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Billie Ann, and his entire family.”

 BG Oliver W. Myers, of Jacksonville, was Commander of the Arkansas Army National Guard’s 39th BDE (SEP) from 1981 to 1984.  He also served as honorary Commander of the 61st Airlift Squadron at Little Rock Air Force Base.
