Griffin: The Destruction Is “Heartbreaking”
‘Heart and prayers go out’ to the many Arkansans affected
WASHINGTON – Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement in response to last night’s storm:
“My heart and prayers go out to the many Arkansans affected by yesterday’s devastating storm, especially those who lost loved ones. Last night, I walked around what was only hours earlier thriving neighborhoods in Vilonia and Mayflower that are now gone. The destruction I witnessed is heartbreaking. In Vilonia an entire neighborhood was destroyed. Many homes are completely gone except the foundation, and there is more devastation like that in Mayflower. I stand ready to help, and I will do everything I can to make sure federal resources are made available immediately.”
