Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after viewing photos at CIA headquarters taken of Osama bin Laden following the raid on his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 1, 2011:
“I was shown a number of photos of Osama bin Laden taken immediately after he was shot and killed; as he was being cleaned and prepared for burial at sea; and after he was wrapped and prepared for burial. The photographs clearly and indisputably show a dead Osama bin Laden with a gunshot wound to his head, most of his head intact and clearly recognizable. The photos confirm what I already knew: He’s dead.”
