Harding Academy ELC students performed as part of WCMC’s Arts in the Hospital program

Patients, guests and associates at White County Medical Center celebrated Thanksgiving as students from the Harding Academy Early Learning Center (ELC) performed Thanksgiving-themed songs in the WCMC main lobby. The 50 students, led by ELC Preschool teachers Penny Hitt, Joy Miller and Renee Miller, entertained a large crowd of on lookers in their colorful Pilgrim and Indian costumes.

The ELC students performed as part of WCMC’s Arts in the Hospital program. The arts have been known to help speed the healing process, and the WCMC Arts inthe Hospital program encourages patients and guests to enjoy a variety of art forms during their visit. Art displays range from elementary school student drawings to professional paintings and photography, as well as musical performances from choirs and bands featuring students of all ages.
