Harding University student wins national leadership award

Harding University senior and political science and French major Amy Littleton received the Tiana Notice Leadership Award on Aug. 13. The Roosevelt Institute Campus Network presented the award during the annual leadership summit at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library in Hyde Park, N.Y. Littleton’s involvement in building the University’s Roosevelt Institute chapter and her role as southern development associate earned her the award. She planned the Southern Fall Retreat in Arkansas and assisted in planning the national retreat in Hyde Park. As the southern development associate, Littleton was instrumental in the creation of the Progressive Dinner with other Arkansas university chapters. Named after a founding member of the organization who unexpectedly died Feb. 14, 2009, the Tiana Notice Leadership Award is given to a long-time member of the Roosevelt Institute Campus Network who displays a strong work ethic, dedication to the organization and a desire to advance the organization and other students to further accomplishments.
