Harding University will host its annual Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The theme of the event is “For a World with More Birthday Parties.” Twenty-nine teams will participate, each hosting a booth featuring games, food and more to contribute to the fundraising goal of $20,000. Additional activities and music performances are scheduled for each hour throughout the evening. A luminary ceremony will also take place to commemorate those who have been diagnosed with cancer. The luminaries will be lit and displayed around the front lawn as a symbol of hope for a cure. The event will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 through 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
