Hearing Set on Proposed Truck Wash Facility Permit in Greenbrier

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will hold a public hearing at Greenbrier February 11, 2010, to receive comments on a proposed permit modification for JT’s Washout Facility in Faulkner County. The hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Greenbrier Municipal Building, 11 Wilson Farm Road.

            Only oral or written comments presented at the hearing, or written comments submitted at the ADEQ headquarters by 4:30 p.m., February 11, 2010, will be considered in the ADEQ decision-making process for the permit application, and the public comment period will close when the hearing adjourns.

            ADEQ technical staff will be available at the hearing to informally discuss the proposed permit, and a hearing officer will also be present to accept formal comments from attendees

            The proposed permit modification involves a truck washing facility located near the intersection of Arkansas State Highways 25 and 107 near the city of Quitman. Information about the facility’s draft permit is available for review on the ADEQ Internet web site by accessing the following Internet address: www.adeq.state.ar.us/home/pdssql/pds.asp and entering permit number 4982-WR-2 in the Permit Number box on the search page.
