Herb Harvest Fall Festival in Mountain View

The Ozark Folk Center State Park is pleased to announce the Herb Harvest Fall Festival Sumptuous Herb Harvest Supper taking place on Thursday evening, October 1, 2009 at 6 PM at the Ozark Folk Center State Park Skillet Restaurant in Mountain View, Arkansas. Join the Ozark Unit of the Herb Society of America for a reception with dancing followed by a Sumptuous Herb Harvest Supper & program by Jim Long of Long Creek Herbs.

The ladies of the Ozark Unit of the Herb Society of America will be serving spinach balls, brandied figs, Ozark caviar, an herbed goat cheese log and thirst-quenching libations. Honorary member, Bob Schrienk will conduct line dance and waltz dance instruction—with live music—bring your dancing shoes! The reception will be held in the open-air music pavilion in the Craft Village beginning at 6 p.m.

Jim Long has created the supper repast.  There will be a choice of Stuffed Trout, Dry-Cured Ham or Vegetarian Meatless-Loaf, plated with Corn Pudding and Tomato Provolone Basil Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette with all of the customary accoutrements.  The dinner will be at the Skillet Restaurant.

Reservations are limited with a firm deadline of September 24.
