Tickets for Homecoming musical on sale Sept. 22 at Harding

SEARCY, Ark. – Harding University will usher in the holiday season
with a comical ghost story for all ages, featuring this year’s
Homecoming musical, “Scrooge,” playing Oct. 30-31.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 1:00 p.m. in the Benson
Auditorium, and online tickets will be available Sept. 23, at 9:00
a.m. on www.hardingtickets.com.

The Benson box office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

“Scrooge” is a musically adapted version of the Charles Dickens
classic “A Christmas Carol,” featuring the grouchy miser Ebenezer
Scrooge. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge, who has no regard for the cheery
holiday, sends his underpaid but spirited assistant home overworked as
usual. But later that night, the ghost of his late business partner,
Jacob Marley, appears to warn Scrooge that if he does not amend his
greed-consumed life, he will end up, like Marley, suffering eternal
punishment.

Throughout the night, Marley sends three ghosts to visit Scrooge in an
attempt to inspire the miser to care for those around him. The Ghosts
of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Be each lead Scrooge on a
journey through his difficult and mistake-riddled past; the present
joyous celebrations of the people that surround him; and the
devastating future that could be yet to come, affecting everyone from
himself to his assistant’s impoverished family.

Come watch as Scrooge makes the decision of his life in time for
Christmas in Benson Auditorium Oct. 30-31 at 8 p.m. Tickets are priced
according to seating visibility; Level A tickets are $15; Level B,
$12; Level C, $10. For more information, call 501-279-4255.
