The Humane Society (HSIC) is conducting a shoe collection drive through the week of Monday, May 4, to raise funds for dog and cat spay/neuter assistance in Independence County. The goal is to collect 2,500 pairs of shoes to earn $1,000.
Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes, sandals, boots, etc., at the Bargain Hound Boutique (Tuesday through Saturday) at 228 Ramsey Street in Batesville. This would be a great project for schools, churches, or any other groups that would like to help the Humane Society.
