Improvements Require Overnight Lane Closures on State Highway 265 in Springdale

Construction work to improve State Highway 265 (Old Missouri Rd.) in Springdale will require overnight lane closures, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials.

Weather permitting; crews will be performing asphalt work that will alternately close lanes on State Highway 265 between U.S. Highway 412 and Randall Wobbe Ln. in Springdale starting on, Monday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m. Lane closures will occur nightly from
8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. until the project is complete, which is estimated to be 7 weeks.

In August 2017, the Arkansas Highway Commission awarded a contract in the amount of $1,887,361.90 to APAC-Central, Inc. of Fayetteville for the project. This project will remove and replace existing asphalt and stripe the roadway to provide a turning lane between E. Mountain Rd. and Randall Wobbe Ln.

Traffic will be controlled by signage, flaggers and traffic cones. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
