Improvements Require Temporary Closure of State Highway 5 in Bryant

Improvements to State Highway 5 will require a temporary closure in Bryant, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.

Weather permitting, both lanes of State Highway 5 will be closed from State Highway 183 (Reynolds Rd.) to Bryant Parkway starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening, August 24 through 5:00 a.m. on Monday morning, August 26. Local traffic will be allowed, but through traffic will be detoured around the work zone as crews work to replace a culvert.

Traffic will be controlled using signage and barricades. Drivers should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov. You can also follow us on Twitter @myARDOT.
