The Independence County Democratic Central Committee will host a “Call for Candidates” meeting on Monday, September 21st, 6:30PM at the Citizen’s Bank Annex Building, 285 E. College St., Batesville. Those considering or planning a Democratic party candidacy are encouraged to attend. In addition to candidates, current and past committee members, prospective committee members, and party supporters are welcome.
Party filing begins Monday, November 2nd at noon and ends Monday, November 9th at noon. Filing will take place at the Independence County Courthouse. The Central Committee has set filing fees at 2% of the elected office’s yearly salary.
