John Kirkpatrick, Featured Artist Arkansas Craft Gallery

“I have a passion for working with wood and I enjoy nothing more than getting lost in a wood project. I am amazed at what Mother Nature gives me.” John Kirkpatrick has made canes, spoons and spatulas, mortars and pestles, cutting boards, salt cellars with lids – all revealing the natural colors and forms the wood suggests. He’s perfected a natural wood rub, includes it with each purchase, plus a small piece of emery cloth, and instructions for care of the wood. JK Woodworking is John’s business located in Quitman. The Kirkpatricks will have a video playing, his favorite tools, and will be in the Gallery’s Demonstration room from 10:30 to 4:30 on September 2nd. Come by and meet John and see his work. The Gallery is run by the Arkansas Craft Guild, and has been promoting handcrafted in Arkansas since 1962. The Arkansas Craft Gallery’s hours are 10-5.
