Home of the sweetest watermelons, the 31st annual Cave City Watermelon Festival is set for Aug. 12-14 in the city park. Activities include a pancake breakfast, car show, and parade. There will, of course, be watermelons galore. There will be lots of live music. There is also a beauty pageant and drawings for prizes. Admission is free.
