Karaoke for a Cause

The 2009 Karaoke for a Cause to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters will take place Monday, July 13th at Josie’s at the Lockhouse. There will be two categories of karaoke competition: solo and group performance! Each category will have a winner. The winners are determined by the most amount raised. Both the solo and group performers will raise money prior to and at the event. Our goal is to raise $5,000 through the contestant competition! Here’s how it will work…
Sign yourself or a group from your office, church, civic group, etc. to compete. Contestant(s) entry fees and song selections are due July 1 to the BBBS office located at 2200 Harrison Street, Suite A to secure your spot in the competition on July 13th. Entry fee is $150.00 for both solo and group performers. The fee can be paid by the contestant(s) or a sponsor. If you are a group performing, each performer fills out an entry form. Arrive at Josie’s at 6:00 p.m. on July 13th.
Raising Money for the CAUSE!
The format is changing this year! In the past contestants raised money at the event only. This year we want you to start TODAY!
Prior to the event each soloist and group will begin raising money immediately. There will be weekly email blasts sent out announcing which soloist and group is in the lead raising money. The amount raised prior to July 13th will be added to the money you raise at the event.
Each performer will have a bucket passed around at the event for the crowd to place money in and vote for their favorite!
