KFFB 106.1 FM Health Fair in Fairfield Bay Today

KFFB 106.1 FM and Chesapeake Energy will host the annual Regional Health and Wellness Fair Today Saturday, September 26, 2009 in Fairfield Bay.  The public is invited to the HART Center, Fairfield Bay’s 23,000 square foot fitness facility, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This is an opportunity to check up on your general health. The Hart Center will be filled with over 75 doctors, nurses, and other specialists providing vital tests, including: Total Cholesterol Screening, Prostate Screening, Urine Screening, TSH- (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), Pulse Oximetry, Video Otoscopy, Body Mass Index, Spinal Screening, Ankle Brachial Index, Glaucoma Screening, Breast Care, Women’s Health and many other tests. All were chosen to assess general health and head off potentially life-threatening problems.

The services, exhibits, and testing are free or at a nominal charge.  Last year’s health fair had over 600 participants from all around North Central Arkansas.

KFFB 106.1 FM will be giving away $106.10 every hour, as well as a wealth of information about maintaining good health. Vic Schedler and Chad Whiteaker will broadcast live interviews during the event. “We are excited about this years Health Fair, It should be the best yet!” stated Bob Connell, Owner and General Manager of KFFB 106.1 FM.

Fasting before the cholesterol test is encouraged, but health professionals agree that, for mature citizens, eating before tests causes little deviation in test results.
