Kids with big hearts will put the pedal to the metal and ride for the Annual St. Jude Trike-A-Thon

WHAT: The St. Jude Trike-A-Thon teaches children riding toy safety while raising funds for
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

A tradition for more than 32 years, the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon is a fun, week-long curriculum for daycare centers and preschools. Children learn riding toy safety lessons through a series of interactive stories from special characters, Bikewell Bear® and Pedals the Bunny®, while raising money for St. Jude. At the end of the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon week, children bring their trikes or riding toys to school and practice the safety lessons they have learned.

In addition to safety lessons, kids learn about helping others, including the patients of St. Jude. Families, friends and the community team up to support the hospital by pledging a donation to the hospital to ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

Community members can sponsor children in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon by pledging a flat donation.

WHO: Mainstreet Kids has participated in the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon since 2011 and raised more than $3,000 for St. Jude.
