Koalacise for Kindergarteners WCMC’s K.C. Koala Leads P.E. Class at Harding

Harding Academy Kindergarten students welcomed a special guest to their physical activity period, as White County Medical Center mascot K.C. Koalaled them in “Koalacise.”

K.C. Koala, joined by WCMC Event Specialist Anna Overbay, taught the kids about the importance of exercise to keep their hearts healthy and led them in a series of exercises, or Koalacises.

February has thedesignation of American Heart Month, which encourages living a heart-healthylifestyle by incorporating exercise and proper diet to everyday life. K.C.Koala knows that when children develop good habits at an early age, they aremore likely to adopt the same healthy behaviors as adults, which benefits themthroughout life and prevents heart disease.
