Description: Kris Allen, Conway native and past American Idol winner, will be performing a live benefit concert for Blackbird Academy of Arts, a non-profit arts education center in Conway. The concert will be at UCA’s Reynolds Performance Hall on October 27, with a VIP Sponsors Pre-Party before hand. The event is being held in partnership with the Music Empowers Foundation, which has promised to match up to $50,000 for a grant towards Blackbird’s music program. The focus of the benefit is to not only assist Blackbird in gaining local support and funds, but to also bring awareness to the importance of music education. For more information call 501-336-8200.
