Kroger Announced the “Grand Opening” of its Marketplace Store in Conway

The Memphis-based Kroger Delta Division announced the “Grand Opening” of their Marketplace Store in Conway, Arkansas located at 855 Salem Road. The “Grand Opening” date is scheduled for this coming Wednesday, June 27th.

Kroger opened the location at 855 Salem Roadin 1996 with 55,000 square feet. The new Marketplace Store has added 68,000 square feet, and now will operate a total of 123,000 square feet.  The store will employ 300 associates, which is an increase of 140 associates from the original store.

The Kroger Marketplace Store will include an Indoor/Outdoor Café with free Wi-Fi; a Baby World that will provide everything from Baby Beds to Car Seats to Infant Clothes; plus a Kitchen Place with all of the latest Kitchen Appliances and Décor for the discerning Chef in the family. Stop by their new home decorating section for great ideas.  If you are in a hurry and need a nutritious meal, you can choose from the many “Chef Prepared” entrees and side dishes, artisan bread or make a quick stop at the Sushi Bar or the Grilling Station located in the meat department.

Kroger is also excited to offer customers a complete “New” shopping experience with the addition of a Fred Meyer Jewelers. Fred Meyer is the nation’s third-largest fine jewelry retailer known for its legendary service, quality and competitive prices on engagement and wedding rings, fine jewelry for women and men, and brand-name watches.  The “Grand Opening” of the Salem Road Store becomes the Company’s second Marketplace Store, and Fred Meyers Jewelers, in the state ofArkansas.

In addition, the new Conway Store will offer aFuel Center, capable of providing service to 14 cars at once. Customers can redeem their Fuel Reward Discounts that they earn when they purchase groceries.  Customers can earn 1 point for every dollar they spend in groceries.  Each 100 points will enable customers to save 10 cents per gallon on their next fill-up, or by adding their points together, they can save up to a maximum of $2.00 off per gallon until September 30, 2012.
