Washington – U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor and U.S. Representatives Marion Berry (AR-01), Vic Snyder (AR-02) and Mike Ross (AR-04) today announced that the Veterans Affairs Office in Little Rock has received Recovery Act funding to hire additional employees to assist with processing veterans’ claims for VA benefits. The office has hired 30 employees since it first received its $1,686,243 grant last summer and now plans to hire an additional eight employees.
The new hires will provide administrative support for claims processors who handle compensation, pension and education benefit claims from Arkansas veterans. Additional staff members help Little Rock’s VA Office process claims and deliver benefits more quickly.
