Lincoln to Join Economic Development Announcement in Little Rock,
Inauguration of Lyon College President in Batesville

Washington – This Saturday, October 24, 2009, U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.) will travel to Little Rock for a significant economic development announcement.  Later that day, Lincoln will travel to Batesville to give the national charge at the Inauguration of Dr. Donald V. Weatherman, Lyon College’s new president.

Saturday, October 24

10:30 a.m.       Lincoln will join U.S. Treasury Department officials and others to announce a significant investment for Arkansas from the New Markets Tax Credit Program.  The federal program is intended to spur the investment of new private sector capital into low-income areas.  Arkansas Capital Corporation, 200 South Commerce, Suite 400, Little Rock.
