Local automotive industry leader, Scott Landers, dies at 35.

Scott Landers, a managing partner of the Steve Landers automotive dealerships, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8th of a heart attack. 35 years old, Scott was doing what he loved, duck hunting in central Arkansas.

Born and raised in Arkansas, he graduated from Pulaski Academy in 2002 and attended Arkansas Tech University.  Scott proudly followed his father’s footsteps into the car business and worked with his father, Steve, and brother, Steve, Jr. (Owner Steve Landers Cowboy Chevrolet Buick GMC in Heber Springs & Steve Landers Cowboy Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Clinton), for many years before partnering with the Luther Automotive Group, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, in 2014.  Since that time, Scott successfully grew the Luther/Lander’s southern platform to include 7 dealerships in Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.

Scott’s family, associates, and employees greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR on Tuesday, January 14th at 11 AM.  Visitation to follow.
