Main Street Batesville has hired a consultant to visit downtown and offer suggestions for revitalizing and advancing the area. As of December 5th, 2013, Main Street Batesville was declared to be within full compliance with Main Street Arkansas. Since then, the Main Street board has been diligently working on plans and programs to revive the program. Part of the plan was to hire a consultant.
On Wednesday, February 5th, consultant Dan Burden will facilitate a meeting with the public at the First United Methodist Church located at 615 East Main Street in Batesville. The meeting will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
