Memorial service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2020, for Moriah Jalayne Moore of Heber Springs

Moriah Jalayne Moore “The Brave”, 21 danced into heaven greeted by our Lord, her pepaw, Dan J. Holloway, and her three dogs Katie, Annie and Bishop at 7:45 AM on July 6, 2020.

Moriah was born in Batesville, Arkansas on June 2, 1999, to Earl and Rachel Moore. She is a twin who arrived 26 minutes before her sister Ashlee Moore of Heber Springs. Moriah’s other siblings are Karanda Willey of Mandeville, Louisiana, Nancianne Moore of Heber Springs, Natalie Medina of Judsonia, and Madelynn Moore of Heber Springs, all of whom will be missing her until they are reunited in their own home going.

Moriah was full of life, spunk, and passion throughout her school years at Heber Springs School District where she graduated in 2018. She enjoyed her time there as a Panther Dance Team member, Homecoming Maid and Beta Club member. She volunteered even as a young girl at the Humane Society Shelter because she had a love of all God’s creations. She worked for Arrow’s cafe and BBQ as a hostess, helped bus tables, and did dog sitting for families in Heber Springs.

Moriah spent the last nine years of her life bravely battling against Fibrolamellar Carcinoma, a very rare childhood cancer. This diagnosis took her to the concrete jungles of New York New York, the humid temperatures of Houston, Texas and then an extended stay in the Windy City. Thanks to the love and support of churches, families, and whole communities, she was able to swim with the dolphins in Hawaii, fly a plane, and enjoy Chicago pizza. Moriah looked at life as compact luggage; you pack as much as possible in before you shut the lid. Her smile was infectious and would light up a room. She kept many friendships and made time for more than one best friend. And now, friends and family alike join and say goodbye for now, “until we meet again.”

Moriah “The Brave” Moore, the daughter of Earl and Rachel Moore never identified with death or even a diagnosis. She was all about living. So, her home going will be a Celebration of Life at our home church in Judsonia, Arkansas on July 15, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. This service will be live-streamed on youtube as well as through Family Funeral Service of Heber Springs’ Facebook page. It was here at the River, 420 CW Road, Judsonia, Arkansas, Moriah was trained in the ways of the Lord, baptized, along with being supported and loved for the last 20 years. This will be the only church service for Moriah’s Celebration of Life Service.
