National Prize Winning Opera star to appear in Batesville with the Delta Symphony Orchestra November 1

National Prize Winning Opera star to appear in Batesville with the Delta Symphony Orchestra. Limmie Pulliam is the 2012 winner of that National Opera Association’s National Vocal Competition. On November 1, he will be in Batesville performing with the Delta Symphony Orchestra as a guest soloist. His portion of the program will include well known spirituals such as Ride on King Jesus and Give me Jesus. In addition, Mr. Pulliam will perform arias by Verdi and Leoncavallo. The rest of the program will include orchestral What’s Up at the Symphony and The Flight of the Bumblebee.

The Delta Symphony Orchestra (formerly the Northeast Arkansas Symphony) is under the direction of Neale Bartee. Dr. Bartee is the founder as well as the conductor. The Delta Symphony Orchestra is the only professional Orchestra in the Northeast Arkansas Delta Region.

The concert is sponsored by the Batesville Symphony League through the support of the contributions of area businesses and individual patrons. Tickets will be available at First Community Bank in Batesville beginning October 15. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the concert.
