National Trappers Association 9th Annual Southeast Trapping And Outdoor Expo April 13-15

The National Trapper’s Association (NTA) will be sponsoring the 2012 Southeastern Regional Trapping and Outdoor Expo in Russellville,Arkansas April 13-15. This recreational experience will be hosted by the Arkansas Trapper’s Association in conjunction with the Russellville Advertising and Promotion Commission.

The event will be held at the Pope County Fairgrounds, Russellville,Arkansas, located at 517Knoxville. Take Exit 84 off I-40, go South to Main St.then East onMain St.toKnoxville. Turn South onKnoxville and the Fairgrounds are on the right about a block after crossing the railroad tracks.

Over the duration of the 2 ½ day event a number of speakers who are experienced trappers have agreed to provide demonstrations for the 2012 Southeast Regional Convention on a variety of trapping topics.

See Demo Schedule for specific. This is an excellent opportunity to come out and watch the pros! There will be an ample amount of lures, baits, and supplies available from vendors attending the event. A full list of vendors is posted on the website. In addition to trapping supplies, the vendors will also be selling everything from sporting goods, artwork, and home décor items.

Fur Bearers Unlimited (FBU) will be conducting a silent auction on Friday and until 4PM on Saturday. FBU will also be having a raffle on various items.

The ATA will be selling dinner plates on Friday evening to raise funds for the ATA. The Menu will include grilled chicken and beef brisket, patato salad, baked beans, rolls and possibly desserts. Serving starts at 6:00 and will cease at approximately 7:00. Cost will be $5 per plate plus drinks.

An auction will take place at 7:30 Friday evening featuring well know auctioneer Kevin Whitworth ofMissouri. Kevin’s style of auctioneering is very entertaining and will give all who are there a good time.

Family activities will be featured throughout the event. These will include trap setting contests, kids hay scrambles, ball toss, and a frying pan toss contest.

The vendor building will be open 8AM to 6PM on Friday and Saturday. A very limited number of vendors will be available from 8AM to Noon on Sunday. Tailgate/flea market vendors will also be featured in the outdoor areas of the fairgrounds throughout the event.

The cost for the event is $10 for the entire event. Children under 12 are free. This is a family event. We strongly encourage young people to come out and learn about the heritage of trapping and the promotion of responsible trapping.
