New Art Exhibit at Ozark Health Medical Center in Clinton

(Above) Hanging the exhibit were (from left) artists Doris Sexson, Judy Shumann, Freda May, Ruby Krimm, and Joyce Hartmann (photographer). The public is invited to view the 30 new paintings done by 17 area artists, all members of the North Central Arkansas Artist League.

The walls at Ozark Health Medical Center are bright and cheery with new colors and scenes, with at least one portion now looking more like a gallery than a hospital.

The North Central Arkansas Artist League hung a new exhibit on Monday, August 9th. It will remain in place until Nov. 7th. Included are 30 original art works by 17 area artists, living in Fairfield Bay, Clinton, Choctaw, Greenbrier, Edgemont, Shirley, Quitman, and Greers Ferry.

Paintings are floral, Ozark landscape, wildlife, whimsy, seascapes, and more. Large to small paintings are available, with a portion of each sale going to the Hospital Auxiliary to support their projects.

The public is invited to view the exhibit, located near the cafeteria on the 2nd floor of the medical center on Highway 65 in south Clinton. For more information, contact hospital exhibit coordinator Joyce Hartmann, Choctaw, at 745-6615.
