North Central Adult Education Center Announces Digital Literacy and Microsoft IT Academy Classes

North Central Adult Education Center in Leslie would like to announce Digital Literacy and Microsoft IT Academy Classes for interested people in the area.  The main skills needed for personnel in the workplace are digital skills for productivity.  Digital Literacy includes basic computer instruction, hardware and software knowledge, Internet understanding, computer security and privacy, productivity programs, and digital lifestyles. There is a Digital Literacy Certificate at the completion of these skill trainings.  The Microsoft IT Academy provides the skill instruction for Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.  At the completion of these skill trainings, the participants can take the tests to become Microsoft Certified.  All of this training is provided to the participants for free.  This class is a structured class that meets on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 6:00pm and 7:00pm.  The students are required to complete a reading assessment to ensure that their reading level is consistent with the material presented. Enrollment and assessment happen on the first night of enrollment.  We plan to enroll and complete the assessments until October 2nd. The structured classes begin on October 6th.  For a student to participate, the paperwork and assessments must be completed before the class begins.  Please contact 870-447-6111×3 for more information.
