North Central Arkansas Artist League recently completed a mini-abstract watercolor workshop

Fifteen members of the North Central Arkansas Artist League recently completed a mini-abstract watercolor workshop taught by Marlene Gremillion of Hot Springs Village. The workshop was held at Bayside Art Studio at the intersection of Highway 330 and Greenwood Rd., Fairfield Bay. Students experimented with different colors, materials and techniques, and designed their own abstract paintings using familiar objects for inspiration. 

Artists taking the workshop were Sue Pico, Jan Cobb, Carolyn Goettsch, Ruby Krimm, Joyce Hartmann, Freda May, Judy Shumann, Connie Hood, Diana Foote, Dorothy Hendrickson, Julie Caswell, Ann Snyder, Lea Berry, Melva King, and Charlotte Rierson. They live in Fairfield Bay, Clinton, Choctaw, Edgemont, and Mountain View.

Gremillion is a Signature Artist of the Mid-Southern Watercolorists and the Louisiana Society, and has been nationally acclaimed for her work. Her art can be seen by Arkansans in many locations, including Arkansas Studies Institute Gallery in Little Rock and her website www.marlenegremillion.com. She teaches a variety of workshops, including jewelry, floral painting using wax, and more.
