North Central Arkansas Foundation for Arts and Education 20th Anniversary in Arkansas

The North Central Arkansas Foundation for Arts and Education (NCAFA&E) is celebrating its 20th Anniversary by beginning the 2009-2010 season with an informal western membership party at the Lions Club on Saturday, August 22 at 7:00 P.M.   Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served and the event will include entertainment by the musical duo “Cotton Patch”, a silent auction and a showcase of our affiliates.

The “Cotton Patch” duo features famed Old-time fiddle player Cotton Nixon and rythym guitarist Steve Trawick.  Cotton was a regular on Louisiana Hayride and has performed or worked show dates with Loretta Lynn, Marty Robbins, Faron Young and Willie Nelson.  Steve Trawick has performed at the Ozark Folk Center, Silver Dollar City and many venues throughout North Central Arkansas with his family’s band and the New Southern Edition.

Everyone is invited to join and bring a friend to join, and both will have a chance of winning $100 in a drawing.

Please make reservations by calling (501)884-6288 or (501)253-7909.  Admission is $5 per person.  NCAFA&E membership is $20, concert series $40, includes membership and 6 flexible concert tickets.  Donations are tax deductible.  For more information visit www.NCAFA&E.org.
