North Central Volunteer Network ‘Tips for Effective Project Planning’ July 20th

 “Tips for Effective Project Planning” will be the topic for the North Central Volunteer Network (NCVN) brown-bag lunch meeting at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 20 at White River Area Agency on Aging, 3998 Harrison Street, in Batesville.

      Carol Burnett, Foster Grandparent Program Director with White River AAA, will discuss the steps that will help organizations create successful events and projects.  Time will also be given for general discussion.

      Ms. Burnett has been the director of the Foster Grandparent Program for 19 years and worked with seniors for over 21 years.  She has extensive training in volunteer management and in aging issues.  She is a Certified Volunteer Manager.  She is a strong advocate for intergenerational programs as well as aging programs.

      Ms. Burnett is a member of the National Association of Foster Grandparent Program Directors (NAFGPD) and the Arkansas Association of National Senior Service Corp Directors. Through her participation in the Toastmasters International Communication and Leadership Program, she has earned the status of Advanced Toastmaster (ATM).  Her public speaking skills are utilized to do motivational training locally and statewide.
