NRA Endorses Jason Rapert, Senate District 18

Bigelow, AR – The National Rifle Association of America announced its official support for Jason Rapert in the State Senate race of Arkansas’ 18th district.

Rapert was honored to receive the news. “The NRA’s endorsement is coveted by candidates across the nation, and I am pleased to have received it this election cycle,” said Rapert. “As a lifelong hunter and a lifelong member of the NRA and a firm believer in the 2nd amendment, I will consider it my duty as a state senator to uphold the ideals of the NRA and of Arkansas gun owners.”

Anthony Roulette, the Arkansas State Liaison for the NRA’s Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF), said this to Rapert:

“On behalf of the National Rifle Association members in District 18, I am pleased to announce your NRA-PVF endorsement for the State Senate 2010 General Election. Our members will interpret your rating as being a pro- Second Amendment / pro-hunting candidate who supports gun owners and sportsmen…I look forward to working with you to advance the interests of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen.”

The NRA endorsement is one of several statements of official support for Rapert. Arkansas Right to Life, 5 state legislators, The Arkansas Police Benevolent Association, and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee have all publicly backed the 38 year-old Bigelow, AR resident.
