One Million Dollar Bond Set for A Greenbrier man in Rape Case

A Greenbrier man arrested on Monday for an alleged rape has been charged today with Rape by Twentieth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Marcus Vaden. Jamie Glover appeared before Circuit Judge Charles Clawson for an arraignment today, June 2, 2010. His bond was set at $1,000,000.00.

“While I don’t want to get into specific facts of the case, I can say that this was a random act of violence. Given the nature of the charge and the manner in which it was undertaken, our office felt that the high bond was both necessary and justified” said Vaden.

It is alleged that the victim was attacked by the defendant Monday while walking along Highway 225 in Greenbrier. The attack appears to be a random act of violence as there has been no previous relationship established between the defendant and the victim.
