Ozark Folk Center State Park Court Square Free Fall Concert Series

Music on the Stone County Court Square is a long standing tradition and the Ozark Folk Center State Park is proud to participate in this traditional community event by sponsoring the “Court Square Concert Series”.

The performances take place the first Sunday of each month from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Each week a different group performs under the shade of the big oak tree on the east side of the courthouse. Performers play a one hour set from 2:00-3:00 p.m., and then the public is invited to join the group for a classic pickin’ session from 3:00-4:00 p.m..

Performances are free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and instruments (to participate in the pickin’) to the event. The Cobb Brothers are scheduled to perform Aug. 2 and Smith ‘n Jensen is scheduled Sept. 6. Dave Brancecum will perform the final concert on Oct. 4. “The October performance is held at the Blanchard Caverns Amphitheater, Shelter Cave to commemorate the first Folk Festival in 1941,” said Daren Dortin, Music Director.
