Ozark Folk Center State Park Open Labor Day Weekend

The Ozark Folk Center State Park is offering special hands-on classes includes Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 5 & 6. Admission to the Craft Village is $12 for adults and $7.50 for children 6-12. Family passes are available for $29.50. The hours are10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

“Every one of the 21 studios at this unique Arkansas State Park features a craftsperson demonstrating, creating and selling their fine and functional crafts in air-conditioned comfort,” said Jeanette Larson, Crafts Director. “Crafts showcased in the park include wood carving; soap making; pottery; candle making; weaving; gunsmithing; leather work; basket making; quilting; broom tying; printing; painting; stained glass; scrimshaw; copper flame painting; knife making and more. Take the time to visit with our crafts people and learn about their work.”

The Ozark Folk Center State Park is located at 1032 Park Avenue in Mountain View. Follow the signs to the Ozark Folk Center State Park, less than a mile from the Courthouse Square in downtown Mountain View.  The park may also be reached by taking Hwy 5/9/14 (Sylamore Ave) to Jimmy Driftwood Parkway, which leads directly to the park entrance.
