Ozark Folk School Registration!

Do you look at the state of the economy and think you need to learn to be more self-sufficient? Have you always wanted to learn how to make furniture or forge knives or sew clothes?

This month you have the opportunity to learn traditional homesteading skills while getting away from it all in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. March 15-20, 2009 and March 22-24, 2009 the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Arkansas is offering Folk School classes in music and crafts.

Session one is 5-days of intensive learning from master craftsmen, herbalists and musicians. You will work Monday-Friday studying and creating. The evenings at Folk School are full of dancing, tours, fellowship and fun. Many students return year after year to learn new skills and visit with their friends from previous Folk Schools.
Session two is 3-days focused on craft, music or herb classes. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day you’ll learn new skills. Your evenings will be open to practice, enjoy visiting with friends or just to relax. Many Folk School classes are full.

Registration deadline for classes is March 10. Visit our website at www. ozarkfolkcenter.com or call 870-269-3851 for more information or to register.
