Ozarka College Board of Trustees Vice Chair Bob Evins named to 2013 ACCT Communications and Education Committee

The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) recently appointed Mr. Bob Evins of Cherokee Village as an associate member of the 2013 ACCT Communications and Education Committee.  Evins’ term will expire at the end of the Annual Community College Leadership Congress inSeattle,WAin October 2013.

Associate members are chosen by voting members of the ACCT Board of Directors and Evins was one of 10 chosen to serve from community colleges across the United  States. In his position, he will have full voting rights.

“I am honored and humbled to be given the opportunity to represent OzarkaCollege on a national committee such as this,” said Vice Chair Evins. “In a time of fiscal constraints, it’s important to keep attention focused upon continuing to provide the quality education for those people who are dedicated to making the sacrifices necessary to reach their goal of obtaining a higher education.”

Trustee Evins is the Vice Chair of the Ozarka College Board of Trustees and is President of Liberty Bank of Arkansasin Highland. He was appointed to the Ozarka College Board of Trustees for a seven-year term in August 2009 by Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe.

Trustee Evins and his wife, Patricia, reside in Cherokee Village and have two grown children and three grandchildren
