Ozarka College Foundation Board announces the winners of the golf tournament on Sept 24

The Ozarka College Foundation Board hosted its annual golf tournament at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course Saturday, Sept. 24 in Melbourne. There were 29 teams that competed in this year’s event that raised record funds for Ozarka College students.  Winners of the Championship Flight were 1st place: Tommy Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Doug Freeze, and Zach Freeze; 2nd place: Al Smith, Dylan Smith, Brad Lamb, and Emily Johnson; 3rd place: Corey Woodard, Austin Smith, Sam Cooper, and Adam Cooper. Winners of the First Flight were 1st place: Jack Hill, Kenny Tosh, Burny Caldwell, and Keith Porter; 2nd place: John Vinson, Cecilia Vinson, Shannon Vinson, Josh Vinson; 3rd place: Nathan Criss, Andy McCandlis, Terry Harris, and Jerry Estes. Winners of the Second Flight were 1st place: John Dan Kemp, Mike Mowery, Glen Criswell, and Virgil Higgins;  2nd place: Dr. Mike DeLong, Steve DeLong, Casey Severns, and Cole Severns; 3rd place: Floyd Haley, Lowell Jean Wheelis, Haley Wheelis, and Phillip Steed. “We are extremely pleased with how the day went and thankful for the overwhelming support from the community that helped to make the tournament so successful,” said Development and Alumni Relations Officer Hannah McWilliams. “Our Foundation Board members really went above and beyond to secure this year’s sponsors and we are very appreciative of all of their hard work.” The corporate sponsor for this year’s tournament was First National Banking Company.
