Ozarka College will be offering continuing education courses in Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (New) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (New) at the Mountain View and Melbourne campuses in September and October.
The Basic Life Support class will be offered on Sept. 19 at Ozarka College – Mountain View and on Oct. 3 at Ozarka College – Melbourne. Both classes will be from 3-9 p.m.
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support class will be Oct. 8 at Ozarka College – Melbourne from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and the Pediatric Advanced Life Support class will be Oct. 15 at Ozarka College – Melbourne from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Both of these courses will also include a free pre-course review on arrhythmias and pharmacology.
All of the classes are for new certifications and will be taught using the new guidelines and are supported for Health Care Providers by the American Heart Association.
The cost to attend, which includes the American Heart Association card, is $40 for the BLS and $75 for both the ACLS and the PALS. Class sizes are limited, so anyone interested in attending is encouraged to enroll early.
