Ozarka College to present “Health and Fitness” session March 29 Free to Public

The Institutional Professional Development Committee of Ozarka College will sponsor “Health and Fitness,” a presentation by Ross Jackson, Ozarka College Fitness Center director, from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in the John E. Miller Complex Lecture Hall (Room C204) on the Melbourne campus.

 Jackson will discuss nutrition, fitness assessment and exercise prescription. The event is available to Ozarka College students, employees and the general public at no charge.

 Jackson earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in kinesiology and exercise science at Arkansas State University. Before coming to Ozarka College, he worked at Arkansas State University and as a personal trainer at 10 Fitness in Jonesboro.

 Jackson is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist and as a health and fitness specialist. He has a CPR and automated external defibrillator certification with the American Heart Association.
