Parental Choice Scholarship Program Rally in Little Rock April 2

An education reform rally will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9AM in Little Rock, at the State Capitol Rotunda, Arkansas Parents for School Choice announced today. Arkansas Parents for School Choice will be hosting the event in conjunction with the hearing on HB1897, the Parental Choice Scholarship Program, filed by Representative Randy Alexander (R), Fayetteville, during the House Education Committee meeting.

A recent survey by The Tarrance Group found 74% of Arkansans believe parents and students should have the opportunity to choose what type of public school they attend.

Arkansas Parents for School Choice believes it is the inalienable right of parents to choose the best educational environment for their children from among existing options, including traditional public schools, charter schools, magnet schools, alternative schools, private schools and home schooling by the parent.

Directly following the rally we encourage supporters to attend the House Education Committee meeting in room 138 beginning at 10AM.
