Pryor to Meet with Community Leaders, Water Infrastructure Organizations, Health Care Officials, and Local Businesses in August

Senator to Attend Events in Little Rock, Camden, Hampton, Warren, Hamburg, Crossett, and El Dorado

WASHINGTON D.C. – Senator Mark Pryor today said he is looking forward to spending a month in Arkansas where he can travel the state and hear from communities about economic development, health care, energy and other critical issues. Below is Pryor’s schedule for the second half of August.

On Saturday, August 22nd at 4 pm CT, Pryor will attend a reception celebrating the Little Rock Central High Desegregation Commemorative Coin. Pryor sponsored legislation to establish the commemorative coin in 2007; the proceeds support the Little Rock High Central School National Historic Site, and have netted $1.9 million to date. The reception will take place at the Little Rock Central High Visitor Center, 2120 Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive in Little Rock, AR.

On Tuesday, August 25 at 9:30 am CT, Pryor will speak at the Raytheon Missile Systems celebration. The event celebrates the production of the 1,000th ESSM missile. The event will take place at Raytheon headquarters, 100 Wilson Avenue in Camden, AR.

At 1 pm CT, Pryor will tour the Bradley County Medical Center and discuss health care issues with officials and staff. The tour will take place at the Bradley County Medical Center, 404 South Bradley in Warren, AR.

At 3 pm CT, Pryor will tour the Delta Family Health and Fitness Center facilities. The Center houses children with psychiatric disabilities and special educators help kids learn life skills. The tour will take place at the Delta Family Health and Fitness Center, 815 East St. Louis, Highway 82 in Hamburg, AR.

At 4:30 pm CT, Pryor will attend the Ouachita River Project Groundbreaking in Crossett, AR. Businesses in the surrounding areas, including El Dorado, will be shipping from this location. The groundbreaking will take place at 5975 Highway 82 West in Crossett, AR.

At 7 pm CT, Pryor will address the Ouachita River Valley Association Annual Convention Dinner. He will discuss the multi-purpose development of the water and land resources in the Ouachita River basin. The convention is at the El Dorado Country Club, 101 Shady Side Street in El Dorado, AR.

On Thursday, August 27 at 6 pm and 7:15 pm CT, Pryor will conduct a live Town Hall meeting over the phone to discuss current events and take questions from Arkansans.
