CONWAY – State Senator Jason Rapert (R-Conway) today issued the following statement marking the Fourth of July:
“On this day we celebrate a moment that changed the world. For the first time, the ‘self-evident’ truth that we are all created equal and endowed with God-given rights was declared to all people. As we celebrate the truth today, let us give thanks for the courage shown by those who declared our independence as well as the generations of Americans who have fought to preserve it to this day. I pledge to protect and defend the ideas and principles our founding fathers wove into the historic lines of our Constitution. God bless America.”
